An honest comparison

Business peer groups in Tampa Bay, and where the Owner Roundtable fits.

If you're an owner in Tampa Bay or Central Florida looking at Vistage, EO, YPO, C12, or TAB, good. You should be in a room with other owners. This page lays out what each one is, who it's for, and what it asks of you, so you can pick well. Then I'll tell you where my two rooms fit, and where they don't.

Facts below come from each organization's own website as of October 2026. Vistage, EO, YPO, C12, and TAB are trademarks of their respective owners. Trueline isn't affiliated with any of them, and I think well of all of them.

Vistage

Vistage Worldwide

Their site →
Who it's for
CEOs and business owners, with separate programs for key executives and emerging leaders. Vistage names a CEO program for companies with $5M+ in revenue and a small-business program for $1M to $4M.
Format
Peer advisory groups of roughly 12 to 16 non-competing members led by a Vistage Chair. One full day a month, usually with an outside speaker, plus a private monthly coaching session with the Chair.
Cost and entry
Paid membership: a one-time enrollment fee plus monthly dues. Vistage doesn’t publish the numbers; they vary by program and city.
Best for
An owner who wants a structured monthly board and a dedicated coach, and has the budget and a full day a month to give it.

EO

Entrepreneurs’ Organization

Their site →
Who it's for
Founders, owners, or majority stakeholders of a business that did at least US$1M in revenue in its most recent fiscal year (venture-backed companies have their own thresholds). EO has a Tampa Bay chapter.
Format
Monthly “forum” groups of fellow entrepreneurs that follow a confidential sharing protocol, plus chapter events, learning programs, and a global network.
Cost and entry
Paid annual membership through the local chapter; the chapter sets dues.
Best for
A growth-minded founder who wants a global tribe and a confidential monthly forum, and clears the $1M bar.

YPO

Young Presidents’ Organization

Their site →
Who it's for
Top operational leaders under 45 with full P&L authority. Headcount of 50 full-time employees (or 15 plus $2.75M in annual payroll) and revenue thresholds that start at $16M for sales, service, or manufacturing companies.
Format
Confidential forums of 8 to 10 members, chapter events, and a worldwide network of chief executives.
Cost and entry
By invitation and application through the local chapter, with annual dues set by the chapter.
Best for
A chief executive of a larger company who meets the age and size requirements and wants a global peer network.

C12

C12 Business Forums

Their site →
Who it's for
Christian CEOs and business owners who want to run their companies with a higher purpose. C12 lists forums in Tampa, St. Pete, and Lakeland.
Format
Confidential peer forums led by a Chair, built on a biblical worldview, with one-on-one time alongside the group meetings.
Cost and entry
Paid membership through the local territory.
Best for
An owner whose faith is central to how they lead and who wants a peer board that shares that foundation.

TAB

The Alternative Board

Their site →
Who it's for
Owners of privately held companies with a real team, roughly 5 to 250 employees.
Format
A local board of about 10 non-competing owners plus a facilitator. Monthly half-day meetings where each owner brings a real decision, plus private coaching sessions. Each TAB practice is a locally owned franchise.
Cost and entry
Paid monthly membership through the local TAB franchise.
Best for
A smaller company owner who wants a monthly board without the revenue thresholds of EO or YPO.

Where my rooms fit

Two free rooms in Clearwater. No dues, no thresholds.

I run two peer rooms, and neither one is trying to replace a paid monthly board. Plenty of owners belong to one of the groups above and still want a room closer to home where the whole point is solving the problem on the table.

What's different about mine: I've run companies as President and CFO, I've sat with 60+ leadership teams for 360+ full days, and when we work an issue we work it to a decision, not a discussion. You leave with a next step. That's the standard.

Questions owners ask me about peer groups

Should I join a paid group or come to yours?
If you can afford a monthly board and you’ll show up every month, join one. Vistage, EO, C12, and TAB are all good at what they do. Come to the Roundtable too. They aren’t competing for the same two hours.
What if my company is under $1M or I’m over 45?
Then EO and YPO are off the table by their own rules, and that’s fine. TAB, C12, the Roundtable, and ENRG don’t have those thresholds.
Is the Roundtable a sales pitch for your coaching?
No. Nobody sells anything in the room, including me. If you want to talk about working together afterward, you know where I am.
Do I have to be in Clearwater?
The Roundtable and ENRG meet in Clearwater, an easy drive from anywhere in Pinellas or Hillsborough. Coaching work travels anywhere in Central Florida and runs virtually anywhere.
What about a peer group for my leadership team, not just me?
That’s what the coaching work is. Full-day sessions with your whole team, solving the real issues together. It starts with a 30-minute call.

Not sure which room?

Thirty minutes on the phone and I'll tell you honestly, including if the right answer is one of the groups above and not me.
